I have had back pain since my second child was born. I saw this and decided that I needed to give it a try. This does provide a deep massage which kind of hurt me, so I placed a towel inbetween myself and the pillow and it felt great. It does have a short cord, but that was not a huge problem. The balls rotate around and the pillow does heat up. The heat does not get to hot nor does it burn you. I have had no problems with it smoking or smelling as if it is getting to hot. This does seem to be very well made as well as durable. This has helped me get some relief from my back pain. I was allowed to test this for my honest thoughts.
