These will surprise you. This does have thirty lights on the string, and the lights do not stick out from the string but sit pretty much on it. I like this design better because you do not have to worry about knocking a bulb out or busting a bulb. These can be submerged in water, so they are perfect for using outside, or at least that is where we used them. The wire or string is flexible and can be twisted and turned any direction without breaking. I have personally tested this out. These are very durable and extremely well made. These do come with a remote so you do not even have to be next to them to turn them on or off. It does have three settings: a timer where after so long the lights will turn off, on, and off. These are high quality and perfect for anything you can think of. These would be great for weddings, parties, the outdoors, or to use under cabinets, in pantries, or closets. It does run off three AA batteries, but they seem to have a good battery life. All in all I would recommend these. I was allowed to test this for my thoughts.
